    Call for Papers The Academia de Ciencias Administrativas (ACACIA) from
    Mexico announces the:6th national and 1st international meeting of research
    in management science,in Mexico City, to be held from April 24 to 26, 2002
    byInstituto Politecnico Nacional (IPN).The overall theme of this meeting is:
    �Emergent management paradigms in knowledge societies�We invite all persons
    interested, in particular researchers, professors, students, managers and
    entrepreneurs to submit your papers on management issues with theoretical
    and methodological rigor to this meeting. Papers may be submitted in Spanish
    or English.Registration forms and detailed information on housing and
    programs for this international meeting will be posted on ACACIA�s web
    site:acacia.com.mx

    Rules for participation All papers must be unpublished. Any author may be
    listed in more than three submissions. At least one author of each accepted
    paper must register and present at the meeting.The presenters should
    identify in their submission the scope of their presentation in one of the
    areas pointed out below. They should also indicate whether the submission is
    for �competitive papers presentations� symposia or �interactive poster
    sessions� (see below).Reviewers invited by the scientific committee will
    give all papers submitted. The program committee will notify the persons who
    submitted the papers about acceptance o rejection, including reviewers�
    comments by February 10, 2002. Five of the best papers for each area
    accepted will be automatically considered to be publishing in the
    proceedings.

    Procedures for submitting papers. 1. Competitive paper presentationsThe
    paper�s length from 20 to 30 pages, including text, appendices, tables,
    figures and references (A-4 size paper or 8.5� x 11� paper, double-spaced,
    one�inch margins, 11 point type or larger), plus a 200 words abstract. The
    format follows the Academy of Management style. All submissions should be in
    Spanish or English. Presenters will b asked to present their work orally, in
    Spanish or English for 15 minutes, to be followed by a question and answer
    session for 15 minutes.Each paper must include the following information:�
    One page with Title of presentation, name, affiliation, complete mailing and
    e-mail addresses of the author and all authors, and subject area (one of the
    areas mentioned above).� One page with Title of presentation, author name,
    affiliation, and abstract (up to 200 words).� Paper (up to 30 pages) with
    title (without author or authors name).� Four copies of each paper.�
    Indicate if the paper is based on a graduate dissertation and if the lead
    author is the degree recipient. 2. Interactive Poster Sessions.Presenters
    will be asked to post their work in writing in boards supplied by the
    Meeting. Meeting participants will be able to read the work and talk to
    presenters in person. Poster session thus provide face-to-face contacts
    between presenters and participants and will be arranged for papers and
    topics that would benefit most from non-traditional presentations. These
    interactive sessions are intended to provide a research forum for work in
    progress or to discuss important ideas in formative stages. Those who submit
    proposals for the interactive poster sessions should include the following:
    � Title of presentation and subject area (one of the areas mentioned
    above).� Name, affiliation, complete mailing and e-mail addresses of the
    author and all co-authors.� Four copies of the proposal (in Spanish or
    English) consisting of a 500 to 1500 word document.The four copies required
