University of Dundee
Department of Civil Engineering
Research Lectureship in Management
Applications are invited for the above post to join the Construction
Management Research Unit in the Department of Civil Engineering.
The Department was the only one in Scotland to achieve a Grade
5 rating at the last RAE. In recognition of that success, it now
wishes to build on its achievement and further develop its research
in the field of management.
The Construction Management Research Unit has a wide range of
research themes, both within the construction industry and in
broader areas of project management. No area of expertise is
excluded from the development of the Unit. Suitably qualified
candidates will be considered in any relevant area of business
studies, including operations management, organisation studies,
finance, marketing, strategic studies, or human resources, as well
as construction or project management. The key requirement is for
an individual with research drive and potential, capable of
developing a distinctive research programme.
The successful applicant will be expected to undertake leading
edge research that will sustain the national and international profile
of the Unit and the Department. The post carries a limited teaching
responsibility and provides an excellent opportunity to pursue
existing or new research interests. Candidates should have
demonstrable research potential and a commitment to helping the
Department to achieve a 5* rating in the next RAE.
