Greetings:
I'm looking for information/research on work/life issues (e.g., balance,
telecommuting, flextime, etc.) in different countries. I know a lot about
what we do in the US, but realize that national cultures differ in
significant ways in terms of maternity/paternity leaves, norms around women
working and men sharing parenting/homework, organizational flexibility (job
sharing, flex time, telecommuting) and support, laws (e.g., laws that enable
or hinder telecommuting), etc. Does anyone have any information about
work/life integration in different nations. Right now, I'm particularly
looking at Germany, England, Japan, Brazil, and US, but would love to hear
about any nations. I'll post a summary of what I learn from everyone on
this Mg-Ed-Dv.
If you don't have the information, perhaps you can refer me to books,
institutions, websites, or people who do.
Thanks much,
Paula Caproni
