    Experience the Innovation Experience...
Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is learner centered. Students work in small
groups, engaged in the analysis of problems, getting more and more
responsible for their own education. PBL curricula are driven by real
problems as encountered in practice. Business practice serves as stimulus to
select problems, to organize information, and to integrate disciplinary
knowledge. PBL fosters critical thinking skills, independent learning,
reflection and responsibility. PBL is team-oriented. Working on problems is
not an individual enterprise. It requires team efforts to handle problems.
PBL is real academic education, the problem-solving process is managed by
trained teachers. Since 1974, Maastricht University has pioneered this
method and since 1984 the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration
has developed and implemented PBL in Business and Economics.

Workshop Program: A Hands On Experience
The central theme of the workshop is "Innovation in Economics and Business
Administration Education: Design Your Problem-Based Learning Course". The
workshop is designed to bring together faculty members, policy-makers, and
    any other person involved or interested in educational innovation;
especially problem-based learning. The focus of this workshop is on the
acquisition of technical skills related to designing, implementing,
organizing and evaluating problem-based courses in economics or business
education. It is the fourth time in a row that the EDINEB Workshop Series is
    designated to PBL.

The workshop, accessible to a maximum of 25 persons, is meeting with an
increasing demand from leading innovational institutions worldwide. The
three day program knows a very intensive, dynamic and interactive format.
Participants are offered a great opportunity to meet with leading innovative
speakers and presenters and bring back home inspiring and "hands on"
    experiences and course materials.
