    Colleagues,

    2nd call for papers . . .

    OPEN CALL FOR PAPERS

Educators, business professionals, and technology professionals are invited
to submit papers for consideration for publication in the Business,
Education and Technology Journal (ISSN 1528-1256).

The Journal is a peer-reviewed publication of the School of Technology and
Industry at Golden Gate University in San Francisco. It is published in
paper and on the Web. Please visit us at http://betj.ggu.edu

Topic for the Spring 2001 edition: the role of technology innovation in
    business and educational practice.

Submission date: papers to be considered for the Spring edition should be
    received by February 15, 2001.

The role of technology innovation in business and educational practice: new
technologies appear regularly that impact business and education. A few
current ones are wireless, streaming audio/video, desktop audio/video,
Web-based collaborative and decision support technologies, high-speed
delivery technology such as DSL, and changes in input/output devices such as
    Personal Information Managers.

As with any innovation, educators and business professionals are faced with
the dilemma of determining utility and best use, in the face of coinciding
forces that encourage change (early adoption) and those that resist
    (organizational stasis).

Papers should be of interest to multiple readerships in areas of business,
education and technology. We seek articles of approximately 4500 words.
Conceptual, developmental and theoretical/applied research articles are
    valued.

Calls for papers are regularly disseminated in numerous newsgroups and
listservs. Questions about papers can be answered by contacting the
    co-editors listed below.

The Journal will also consider publishing shorter papers (2000-3000 words)
based on in-progress research, innovative practices, or work that actively
connects the Journal's primary areas of interest.

Interested authors are requested to send their papers to either co-editor
listed below. Email submissions are encouraged for draft papers. Papers
should be sent one of two ways: in the body of the email, or as a Rich Text
Format attachment. For initial submissions, papers with extensive graphics
should also be submitted in paper form.
