Robert,
From a personal viewpoint (but I know many feel more strongly), I believe
the only cardinal sin is failing to make clear, on the subject line, what
the basic contents are. Armed with this, the recipient can make an informed
choice about opening or deleting the message.
I presume your post was prompted by messages from someone whose name
indicates they may be from the Netherlands?
