Does anyone have some thoughts or references for the following: how to
implement a cross cultural - change management program that will help reduce
resistance to an enterprise ERP level application - process change. There is
both resistance to the application and the cross cultural block. Thanks.

    Howdy All,
Jack Ring offered a great quote from O.W. Holmes. So true, the simplicity
before complexity (change) is often procrastination, or lack of
involvement/denial or simply comfort with the status quo.
Dave for my 2 cents worth, and it is really only 2 cents i.e. nothing new.
In every major change I have been a part of the last 12 yrs personal and
organizational, in 3 continents there are a couple of common denominators
for those that were successful. One was involvement of those who must
change- early-on and with transparent disclosure. Second, there was a
compelling reason (crisis) for change that was made clear, and was perceived
    as "compelling".

For me ERP (enterprise resource planning)- is A LOT of up front/input work
before any value is seen, people need to know why as well as how to input,
and how to get the benefits once the system is 'up'.
