    Please pardon the cross post

    Dear Professor Naman et ux,

Re: Moving on to a new topic

Allow me to suggest the topic of 'File templates'. I recently looked for
information and texts on creating pro forma filing systems for different
types of small and medium business. To date, I have not been able to
    find anything.

The lack of these is a vexing problem for professionals such as lawyers
and accountants who are asked to help set up filing systems for new and
existing businesses. They tell me they cannot find materials which they
can suggest to or use to assist their clients.

Perhaps this group can shed some light on where I can find this material
or suggest why it is not available.

Richard, I don't have exactly what you are looking for but here's some info
    that might be useful:
    1. The National Archives and Records Administration has a complete set of
records schedules that could serve as a guide

    Be careful,
Microsoft was just awarded the patent on creating documents with templates and/or style sheets.

Could be that anything you do NOW in this area may be subject to patent infringement unless you use a Microsoft product to do it.
