    Watson - Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal.
    Watson, Goodwin; Glaser, Edward M.

    Assesses critical thinking abilities. Used for evaluation of gifted and
    talented individuals. Used to select candidates for positions where analytic
    reasoning is an important part of the job.
    Range:15+ years
    Time: approx 50 mins.
    Administration: Individual or group

    The Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal defines five key skills:
    drawing inferences, recognizing assumptions, drawing conclusions,
    interpreting data, and evaluating arguments.

    by R.H. Ennis in the Journal of Educational Research, vol. 52, pp. 155-158.

    Since the Watson-Glaser is aimed often at gifted-talented, those reading
    this thread may want to note that there are other instruments out there -
    for instance the California Critical Thinking Skills assessment.
