The most wonderful computers in the world are only as good as the
information fed into them. The following example brought a wry smile that
will probably last me all day.
I received the following post from a list:

Inside look at characters, starships and 24th century technology
Not being a 'trekkie', I forwarded it to a colleague who is.
On trying to send it, I had an interesting experience. The spellchecker
kicked in automatically and wouldn't let me send a message with errors.
This piece of up-to-date technology didn't recognise "starships" and tried
to replace it with "steamships"!
I'm sure there is a moral in here somewhere. Any suggestions?
