    (chuckle). Well, not exactly. I would suggest that an updated map is a work
    product, an end result to be passed on to someone else, not a report (i.e., a
    statement of the status of something or other).

    A report in this context (which I failed to define) would be "X maps updated
    this month, representing a 15% increase over last month and a 4.3% decrease
    from this month last year. Maps updated YTD: 435, a 12.% decrease from the
    same period last FY." And so on (grin, duck, and run!).
