Held at Nijmegen Business School, University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands,
21st-22nd June 2001, in association with the International Research Network
for Quality, Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility.
The seventh annual Eco-Management and Auditing Conference provides a forum
for the dissemination of research findings, practical guidance and case
studies associated with the implementation of environmental management
systems and associated tools. Papers are invited on:
Environmental management systems
ISO14000 and EMAS
Environmental auditing
Corporate environmental management tools
Green marketing, product stewardship and eco-labeling
Critiques of systems based approaches
Case studies
Practical examples of environmental management approaches
The application of tools to SMEs, local authorities and regional development
Factor 4 initiatives
Industrial ecology
Voluntary/negotiated agreements
Implementation of management systems
Deadline for abstracts and workshop sessions is 15 December 2000.
Notification of accepted papers in January 2001.
Papers presented will be published in conference proceedings and distributed
at the conference. If accepted, papers for the proceedings must be submitted
by 15 April 2001. Papers may also subsequently be considered for publication
in the refereed journals Eco-Management and Auditing or Business Strategy
and the Environment.

RESEARCH WORKSHOP ON CORPORATE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND SOCIAL
ACCOUNTABILITY
In association with the International Research Network for Quality,
Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility, 21st June 2001. Following
its successful launch last year, the second research workshop is intended to
develop the successful research cluster for post-graduate candidates and new
researchers who are pursuing higher degree qualifications in the field of
environmental management, social accountability, quality management and
related topics, or are interested in carrying out research towards such a
qualification.
Applicants are requested to submit a proposal for a presentation of 300
words in length. The actual presentation at the conference should last no
longer than 30 minutes and time will be allocated for discussion with fellow
presenters and brief questions from the audience. Interested candidates
should indicate the level of post-graduate research activity and the period
of full or part-time study experience since registration.
The presentation proposal should also include the following major themes:
* The principal research area or focus
* The theoretical origins/background of the proposed research
* The proposed research methodology
* The analysis of survey data
* Survey reliability and validity
* Preliminary results/findings of the research obtained to date
* The likely limitations of the research proposal
* The expected contributions to existing knowledge
Interested applicants should submit proposals to ERP Environment at the
address below by 15 December 2000. Notification of accepted papers will be
made in January 2001.
