The 2001 Hawaii Conference on Business (www.hcb.hawaii.edu) will be held
from June 14 (Thursday) to June 17 (Sunday), 2001 in Honolulu Hawaii,
USA. Academicians and professionals from all areas of business are invited
to attend the conference or submit papers, reports, abstracts, and studies.
The Conference will provide many opportunities for academicians and
professionals from business and related fields to interact with members
inside and outside their own particular disciplines. The Hawaii Conference
on Business will provide opportunities for presenting research as well as
providing formal and informal opportunities to socialize with peers.

The Hawaii Conference on Business encourages the following types of
papers and proposals for any of the listed or related areas of Business:
Research Papers � completed papers.
Abstracts-Comprehensive abstracts of completed or proposed research.
Student Papers � Research by students.
Case Studies - Case studies related to business.
Work-in-Progress Reports or Proposals for Future Research - There will be
sessions at which participants can discuss their proposed research projects
or the work in progress of their current research projects.
Reports on Issues Related to Teaching Business Reports related to
innovative instruction or research related to teaching.
Submission Guidelines
1. Submissions may be made electronically via e-mail to
hcb@cba.hawaii.edu or mailed. If submissions are mailed, submit two
copies of your paper, report, abstract, or study. Submissions imply that at
least one author will register for the conference and be present at the time
designated in the conference program. Submissions must be postmarked
by January 15, 2001.

2. Each submission should include a separate title page. The title page
should include the topic area of the paper, the title of the article, the
names
of the author(s), the mailing address(es), the e-mail address(es), the phone
number(s), and the fax number(s). The page following the title page should
also include the title of the paper. Correspondence regarding receipt of
submission will be made by e-mail to the designated author unless another
mode of correspondence is requested. Notification of acceptances will be
mailed when the review process is completed.
3. All submissions will be subject to a blind review process. There will be
at
least two reviewers for each submission. Submissions will only be
published in the conference proceedings if at least one of the authors
attends the conference. Authors who wish to have their
paper/report/abstract/study placed on the Hawaii Conference on Business
web site or published in the official proceedings will need to provide the
submission in computer readable form. Instructions for submitting computer
readable forms will be provided when the paper is accepted.
4. If you wish to be a reviewer, session chair, or discussant, please mail
your request to the above address and indicate the topic area in which you
are interested. Registration for the conference is required to be a session
chair or discussant.
5. Registration Information: $350 (U. S. Dollars) (for student rates see
www.hcb.hawaii.edu) � includes three breakfasts, one luncheon, mid-
morning and afternoon coffee breaks, and admission to sessions.
