    David Hellman asked BusLib-L@listserv.BoiseState.edu:
I have a class of MBA students who are looking for examples of fiction
or films that portray business or business people in a "positive" light. I
can think of plenty of negative examples, but I'm having problems coming up
with the "positive". With David's permission I am reposting this to
    MG-ED-DV:

Some of the suggestions I got....

    FILMS:
It's a Wonderful Life (many people suggested this)
    Miracle on 34th Street
    Mildred Pierce
    Working Girl
    Other People's Money
    Forrest Gump
There were also a couple of suggestions where business is not viewed well
initially but have a positive spin/ending.....
    Jerry McGuire
    The Hudsucker Proxy

    LITERATURE:
Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
A good obscure title was.... Nevil Shute (AKA: Norway)'s A Town Like
    Alice....
My own choice for fiction title is Herman Melville's Bartleby the
    Scrivener......

Last but not least I got a lot of recommendations about other places to
look. I won't list them all, but a really interesting website on the subject
of business in fiction can be found at:
