Some of you who are attending the Academy, and in
particular the professional development sessions that
precede the main meeting, may have wondered what the
"talent show" on Saturday evening was all about. Well,
here's your opportunity. It's mainly about fun.

The pre-conference sessions are being co-sponsored by MED
and the OBTS (Organizational Behavior Teaching Society).
One of the activities that has evolved as part of the
Organizational Behavior Teaching Conference (the annual
gathering of the OBTS) is a talent show. Talent has not
been a necessary part of the show, but a willingness to get
up in front of your peers and perform has been.

As part of this joint MED and OBTS effort, it was decided
to import this OBTS activity to the Academy. So, if you
have a talent, sing, dance, poetry, skits that send up our
profession, humor, or anything else, and you would like to
participate, please e-mail me directly and let me know.
I will be arriving on Friday Aug. 6 and staying at the
Inter-Continental so you can reach me there. I'm looking
forward to having a great time and I hope you will both
attend the reception on Saturday evening and stay for the
    show.
