Joseph
Thanks for this. I had received an earlier e-mail about the book and was
very interested. I have two large groups of students taking a new course I
have designed in OB. Would have liked an inspection copy but your
publishers in the UK seem reluctant. Requested same about a 6 weeks ago!
Anything you could do.
Best,
Bob

Subject: New Book
Organizational Behavior: Essential Tenets for a
New Millennium
Joseph E. Champoux, University of New Mexico
South-Western College Publishing
ISBN: 0-324-01335-3
Organizational Behavior: Essential Tenets for a New
Millennium is a compact, enjoyable presentation of
organizational behavior theories and concepts. Although
firmly grounded in behavioral science theory and research,
the text is not a collection of research findings. The
author carefully selected topics and built them into
frameworks that are useful for explaining, analyzing, and
diagnosing organizational processes. This affordable text
has proven to be easy reading for students with English as a
second language.
The text is designed for maximum flexibility in use. You can
readily combine it with your favorite cases, exercises, videos,
and movie scenes. The author gives guidelines for each of these
uses in the instructor's manual.
Features:
. Opening episodes, drawn from press accounts, set a
realistic tone for each chapter.
. Full chapter treatment of ethics and behavior in
organizations.
. An International Issues section in each chapter describes
the cross-cultural issues raised by the chapter's content.
. An Ethical Implications section in each chapter
addresses the ethical issues raised by the chapter's
topics.
. Combined micro and macro perspectives describing the
relationships between aspects of organizational design
and behavioral processes.
