The University of New Hampshire's Whittemore School of Business and
Economics invites applications for two tenure-track appointments in the area
of Organizational Behavior and Management beginning September 2005.
Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. degree in Organizational Behavior, or a
closely related field, as well as a strong commitment to excellent teaching,
superior scholarship, and the academic mission of a research university.
For the first position we seek a colleague whose primary research expertise
is in the area of leadership. We are particularly interested in candidates
with expertise in the area of socially responsible leadership, ethical
leadership, or leadership in a global context. We seek candidates with the
ability to teach successfully across our undergraduate and graduate
programs, skills in the design of experiential and project based learning,
and pedagogical experience in cross-disciplinary faculty teamwork. This
candidate must have teaching experience in organizational behavior and
management at the executive level as well as evidence of successful
interactions with the business community. Rank for this position is open.
A full or associate appointment with tenure is possible for exceptional
applicants. Appointment level will be commensurate with the candidate's
achievement in scholarship. Applicants should send (1) a letter of interest,
(2) curriculum vitae, (3) two publications or writing samples, (4) evidence
of teaching effectiveness, and (5) contact information for three references
including name, address, e-mail address, and phone number to: Dr. Carole K.
Barnett, Chair, Faculty Search Committee, Department of Management,
Whittemore School of Business & Economics, University of New Hampshire,
McConnell Hall - Box OB-1, 15 College Road, Durham, NH 03824-3593 USA.
For the second position, we seek a colleague with evidence of experience in
teaching and curriculum development at the undergraduate level in the areas
of organizational behavior and management. We seek candidates with the
ability to teach successfully across our undergraduate and graduate
programs, experience working with diverse student groups, skills in the
design of experiential and project based learning, and pedagogical
experience in cross disciplinary faculty teamwork. Specifically, we are
seeking someone to assist us in the leadership and ongoing development of
our undergraduate management concentration including the large introductory
business course that we manage for all first-year students. This opening is
positioned for an experienced Assistant Professor; however we will consider
a higher rank. Appointment level will be commensurate with evidence of
achievement in scholarship. The ideal applicant will have teaching
experience/interest in areas such as organizational behavior, leadership,
work force diversity, work team effectiveness, organizational structure,
international management, or business ethics. Applicants should send (1) a
letter of interest, (2) curriculum vitae, (3) one or two publications or
writing samples, (4) evidence of teaching effectiveness and (5) contact

and phone number to: Dr. Vanessa Druskat, Chair, Faculty Search Committee,
Department of Management, Whittemore School of Business & Economics,
University of New Hampshire, McConnell Hall - Box OB-2, 15 College Road,

position is filled.
