I have followed the JIT teaching discussion on this list. eSocrates.com
offers a free Case Study creation tool for developing an instant JIT case
study on current business happenings. It combines a Web based template
with editing and intelligent search capabilities to let instructors create
a short discussion oriented case on current events.

You see a New Flash - AOL buys Time Warner - well you need not wait a year
to discuss the strategic impact of this event. Make you own JIT case and
make it available to your students in a few hours.

This tool is in a beta stage, go ahead and try it out. We would appreciate
    feedback on improving it.

We would like to create a list of other such resources. Please communicate
them to me, if you know of any.
    Thanks

I would like to highlight something that my friend Paul said about JIT Case
    Studies:
"free Case Study creation tool .. to let instructors create
a short discussion oriented case on current events."

Discussion oriented cases on current news topics are NOT the same as teaching
cases from Harvard, CMU, Stanford, and similar others that offer rich
contextual information and are carefully selected to bring out multiple
perspectives on a situation. Those cases can take a month or more to research
and write. Quicky news cases are most appropriate as follow-ups to teaching
cases, to help motivate a new topic, or to discuss how a previously discussed
framework might apply in another context. Using too many "JIT" cases may
encourage people to do superficial analyses, not unlike some talk shows and
    chatroom discussions.
