Faculty Positions
Human Resources Management (HRM)
Organization Change Management (OCM)
The Robert J. Milano Graduate School of Management and Urban Policy, a
division of the New School University, seeks candidates for faculty
appointments to its Human Resources Management and Organization Change
Management programs. The Milano School offers the largest and most
comprehensive master's degree program in Human Resources Management in the
United States. It will be launching an innovative new program in
Organization Change Management in Spring 2000. These programs combine
theory with practical skills to provide students with a full understanding
of the complex and evolving competencies inherent in both professional
areas, making them uniquely suited to assume positions of leadership.
Curriculum elements address the professional needs of HRM and OCM on a
global scale as well as within the United States. Faculty rank for both
positions is open and we seek to fill both positions for the Fall 2000.
Position 1- Organization Change Management
We encourage applications from individuals who want to make a significant
impact on the curriculum of a new master's program, develop and manage
research projects on topics of interest to senior-level change management
practitioners, and engage in organizational interventions.
Requirements: A relevant terminal degree, excellent teaching and/or
platform skills targeted to a mid-management constituency, and significant
experience with organizational change interventions is strongly preferred.
Position 2- Human Resources Management
The ideal candidate will have substantial organizational experience in one
or more HR specialty areas, such as strategic HR planning, HR
transformation, training & development, or compensation & benefits.
Requirements: A terminal degree in Management or related field and a record
of scholarship consistent with faculty rank of the appointment is strongly
preferred. The Milano School values superb teaching and evidence of
innovative course delivery methods is expected.
Interested applicants should send their c.v. by November 15, 1999
The New School University, a major institution with over 60 bachelor's,
master's and doctorate programs, is strongly committed to an educational
background environment in which curriculum and every aspect of university
life reflect the multicultural city and international world in which we
teach, learn and live. Therefore, we actively seek to increase the
participation of groups which have been traditionally underrepresented in
U.S. higher education. African-American, Latino, Asian American, and
Native American candidates are encouraged to apply for these positions.
