Good day:
First, I have been selected as a volunteer consultant to the Far Eastern
Center for Economic Development in Vladivostok, Russia. I was recruited by
Winrock International. This is his second volunteer Russian consulting trip.
Second, my core consulting activities will be: (1) assist in strategic
planning, (2) support the develop of business and marketing plans and
strategies for their web site and publication, (3) facilitate an
organizational assessment, (4) perform a number of consultations and (5)
conduct presentations on strategic planning and western management.

Fourth, I am seeking donations for the project. Publications, software and
books on strategic planning, publishing, web site marketing and promotion and
change management would be very useful.
The Russians also have a tradition of gift giving. I found
on my last trip that pens, mugs and T-shirts with sports team's, company or
association names and logos were greatly cherished. Cash was also donated. It
was very helpful in securing supplies, books and for extra luggage shipping.
All donations and gifts were warmly received and deeply appreciated. There
were many smiles and warm thank yous. People learned that Americans are more
than the citizens of a superpower but a giving people.
Fifth, contributor will also be noted on this site. You will be provide with
a report on the project and how your donation was used. I'll even try to take
some pictures.
Sixth, I will be leaving on December 10. I will return on December 24,
