John Naylor asked for some examples regarding decision making. Here is one that I find most interesting.
Designer Hal Sperlich had helped develop the Mustang under Iacocca, and had the idea for a "mini-max" van while at Ford -- a front-wheel drive van that would be smaller and easier tp drive. Ford passed on the idea, but Chrysler didn't, using its K-car platform for the minivan. Chrysler has sold over 8,000,000 and still counting.
