    I share with my colleage Dr. Gopinath a concern with the powerlessness
    journal manuscript or book manuscript submitters may feel when encountering
    abuse or negligence. The Academy of Management has a Journals Committee
    headed by Professor Robert Hoskisson of U. of Oklahoma (email Robert at
    rhoskiss@ou.edu). It seems that this committee might be one access point for
    any grievances or positive proposals for proactively reducing future abuse
    of authors.


    Thank you all for making public what I suspect is a troubling but largely
    unspoken source of discontent among authors.
