Wayne,
I would consider involvement with your program if you have an interest.
I have been involved with one of your colleagues there at Temple regarding
an I/O Psychology course for the last several years. He sends his students
on a virtual field trip to my Web site which deals with interviewing and
selection. They are required to review and comment about the site. They also
read a virtual lecture I have placed there and they are encouraged to E-mail
me with any questions they may have. This is part of their study regarding
employee selection. The professor has indicated to me that this is the most
popular aspect of the class. This technique connects students with the real
world and gives them an opportunity to contact and converse with those
involved in the subject. You can take a look at:
http://www.spacestar.net/users/jloza/
The virtual lecture is available at the bottom of the opening page.
I would advocate use of this technique by others.
