The University has recently approved plans for a major expansion of Essex
Business School and applications from outstanding scholars are invited for a
Professorial appointment to provide leadership in research and teaching in
their respective areas and across the School. Essex Business School has an
international reputation for high quality teaching and research. In the 2008
national Research Assessment Exercise the School was ranked 2nd in the
Accounting and Finance subject area, and 95% of the research output
submitted from across the accounting, finance and management groups was
graded of international quality.
Based at the Colchester Campus, the Management Group has an international
reputation for research across the field of management, including: critical
management studies, aesthetics and organisation, critical perspectives on
technology and organisation, the analysis of change, marketing and society,
and new forms of work. We welcome applications from candidates with a
significant research portfolio in any area of management. The successful
candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of the
Business School's new MBA Programme to be launched in October 2010.
