    The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs beginning Fall 2014. The Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs provides leadership for graduate MBA and MAcc programs, reporting to the Dean of the Wall College of Business.

    The Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs is responsible for branding, reputation, and enrollment management of the graduate programs as well as engaging in ongoing assessment to ensure a high quality curriculum. The individual hired for this position will work with faculty and staff to provide academic support to graduate students, promote a graduate student community, and develop internship and career management services for students. This individual will represent Wall College graduate programs to internal and external stakeholders and promote the university by participating in community, state, and national events or meetings, and by developing partnerships with industry and secondary education institutions. The Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs will have reduced teaching responsibilities, preferably at the graduate level. The Assistant Dean is responsible for working collaboratively with others to develop and implement strategic initiatives related to existing and new graduate level programs, with a focus on in-person and online graduate-level opportunities.

    The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in a business field from an AACSB accredited institution or a terminal degree in a related discipline. Engagement activities qualifying a candidate as Scholarly Academic are preferred. The candidate must have a basic understanding of AACSB accreditation and provide evidence of teaching excellence. Evidence of successful leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to execute is required. A successful candidate will be a collegial leader that can develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. Prior experience with distance learning would be beneficial.

    Accredited by AACSB International, the Wall College of Business has faculty members represented by six academic disciplines: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Resort Tourism. Regional outreach is accomplished primarily through activities of the Center for Economic and Community Development and the Clay Brittain Jr. Center for Resort Tourism.
