    Colleagues,

Let me tell you about an interesting large study regarding the organizational attachment of new employees at one, two and three months after employment.  Irena in Lithuania found that multiple measures of attachment were highly correlated with LMX supportive coworkers and a directive leadership style.

It was clear that with a strong LMX new employees receive the proper directions, information, and support from directive managers and pass it along to supportive coworkers.  My question is does this change after newcomers can do their job well?  I think that a more consultative style would be more affective.  What do you think?
