Sorry for cross-posting.  In view of the IOP Perspective, March, 2010 debate on Misguided Leadership Training, a live debate on this subject will be presented April 10, 2010 at 10:30-12 noon at the Atlanta Hilton.

Bob Hogan will present the con position that leadership development has not demonstrated any significant return on investment improvements must less any impact on follower Engagement.   Then Bob will speculate on our I-O psychology misguided practices.

George Graen will present the pro position that leadership theory and training have been developed that show with hard results practical improvements in both follower engagement and team return on investment.  George also will cite the documentation for his position and name many misguided practices that keep fads, fashions, and folderal in the business of leadership training of managers.

Audience will participate and all are welcome.
