Albion College is seeking a Director of the Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business & Management effective July 1, 2011. The Gerstacker Institute combines the traditional strengths of a liberal arts education with the knowledge, skills and experiences necessary for entry into leadership and management positions in today's global environment. Since 1973, the Gerstacker Institute has earned an excellent reputation for preparing corporate executives, entrepreneurs, accountants, non-profit managers, attorneys and family business owners. In addition, Institute graduates have attended top-tier business and law schools. The Director, reporting to the Provost, heads a well-respected and rigorous academic institute that integrates course work from a multi-disciplinary range of departments, co-curricular activities, and U.S. and international internships into a traditional liberal arts education. The Director will be the voice and presence for the program, articulating its distinctiveness to the external community and the media, developing and overseeing internships, recruiting and advising students, and leading the College in continual renewal and improvement of all components of this marquee program of study.
