Call for Management Education Presentations
You are invited to share your management education experiences at the
National Conference for Educators of Agricultural Audiences to be held June
25-26, 1998 in Columbus, Ohio.
The conference theme is: Teaching Applied Management Concepts and
Developing Skills for Agriculture in the 21st Century.
This conference builds on one held in July of 1995 in Rochester, NY and the
activities and needs in management education of its participants since that
time. The Rochester conference had over 100 participants from 16 states
joining to realize the theme of Sharing Our Knowledge, Experience and
Commitment. Those aspirations will continue to be recognized while meeting
the challenge of this year's theme.
The National Conference for Educators of Agricultural Audiences will
benefit extension workers, agriservice industry personnel, researchers and
resident professors of management who want to share and strengthen their
skills in management education. It is intended to meet training and
support needs of management educators at all expertise levels. The agenda
will feature management concepts and skills that apply to agricultural
audiences in both informal and formal educational settings.
The conference is planned with the philosophy that all participants help in
some way to make it a success. Therefore, presenters are strongly
encouraged to register as participants thereby extending the opportunity
for sharing of ideas and expansion of the conference synergy. Registration
will be provided for presenters of accepted proposals.
Proposals are invited for presentations on any and all topics related to
management education, including but not limited to, the following areas:
Developing programs and program content that translates management
theories into practical skills that can become part of everyday farm practice;
Teaching methods that promote learning and effectively develop practical
skills in farm audiences;
Teaching materials (printed, audio, video or other) that promote learning
