    Colleagues,

I recently completed a "thought leadership" piece – The Power of Goals – that I am making available at no cost. I created it in an e-book format for easy reading – you can check it out at this link. You can also download it as a pdf if you would find that easier to read.

I think that the e-book could be a possible resource for some of your courses, as I think goal setting relates to so many of the things we teach.  While the examples I give are non-profit focused, I have found them to resonate with Executive MBAs and other executives.  Please feel free to use all or parts of the e-book in any way you want.

FYI that I had the Smith School "Career Coach" column yesterday in The Washington Post which you can see at this link.  I used it to promote the importance of disciplined goal setting versus the whimsical New Year's Resolutions that people often make at this time of year.

    Happy New Year to everyone.

    Rob
