Colleagues,
Our PDW on Design Thinking for Wicked Problems in Complex Organizations has been accepted for AOM 2012 in Boston, August 4th, Hynes Convention Center, Room 202, 4:15-6:15. As you may know, design thinking is the ability to imagine that-which-does-not-yet-exist and make a purposeful addition to our world (Grace, 2009). Some of the chapters on design thinking that will be discussed during the PDW are included in the edited volume, entitled Predator's Game-Changing Design: Research-Based Tools, Information Age (2009) http://www.infoagepub.com. Get ready for a fun ride with Geoffrey Seaver, national Defense University, Melanie Cohen, Hud, Ken Chamberlain, Gail Fairhurst and me.
This year, Leadership motivated Excellence (LMX) is celebrating its 40th anniversary and Information Age Publishing is offering Graen's Game-Changing Designs book for half-price ($20.00). We will use chapters from this research volume for our Design PDW at AOM in Boston. In preparation for the PDW, please read chapters by Miriam Grace and James Hazy. Thank you very much. We look forward to your participation.Cheers,George Graen/jag
