We are guest editors for a Journal of Management Education special issue on Assessment in
Management Education. We are seeking manuscripts that explore specific assessment approaches,
methods, and ideas as well as manuscripts that help us think critically about assessment. How do
we know whether students are learning what we hope they learn in our classes? How do we know
that graduates leave our programs with everything we intended to teach them? Assessment is one
way for us to answer these questions. We hope to start a dialogue on ways in which the desire for
rigorous assessment and external assessment demands might lead to unintended consequences.
Submissions should be original, not submitted to or published in any other sources, and no more
than 30 pages long, including references, figures, tables, appendices, etc. Please follow JME
formatting guidelines found at the website
http://jme.sagepub.com/ and submit documents as
Word or RTF files. Prospective authors and potential reviewers are invited to contact either editor
about this special issue. Submission deadline is July 1, 2012 but early submissions are encouraged.
If you are interested in reviewing for this special issue, we need you! Please send an email to one of
the editors and we will get you set up.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
