    Dear MED member,

As you make plans for the Academy of Management, please considered participating in the Writer's Development Workshop sponsored by MED.   The purpose of this workshop is to help authors develop manuscripts with the ultimate goal of seeing them published in journals.

The workshop will work in the following way. If you decide to take part, you will need to submit the manuscript you wish to develop; other than manuscript that was accepted for presentation at this year's Academy of Management.  Your paper will be grouped with broadly similar papers and allocated to one or two experienced researchers/journal editors who will facilitate a discussion on each manuscript in the group during the two and a half hour workshop. You will be expected to read the other papers in the group so that you can follow and contribute to the discussion on each manuscript. The goal is for you to gain insight and advice on how to enhance your paper from MED members who are excellent reviews and have successful publishing records.

Your manuscript can be at any stage of completion, but it must have sufficient content so that others can review it and make suggestions; it need not be the paper that was submitted and was not accepted for this year's conference, but it should be in the field of management education and development. The title of your manuscript will not appear in the program.

To participate in the MED Writer's Workshop, please email Joann Williams, the PDW session leader (joann.k.williams@gmail.com) and a pdf copy of your paper.  She will then send you information on how to register for the workshop.  All papers must be received by July 23rd.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Joann Williams, the PDW session coordinator at joann.k.williams@gmail.com or the co-coordinator, Kathleen Barnes kathleenjbarnes@gmail.com.

    See you in Boston
