Dear MED Division members,
The 2013 European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) colloquium will be held July 4-7, in Montreal.
One of the 55 subthemes of the colloquium is devoted to the study of paradoxes and tensions. We believe that this subtheme can be of special interest for many MED scholars. Indeed, while paradoxes have increasingly been recognized as inherent to management in general, the multiple goals typically pursued by educators, students, academic institutions, and classroom activities often create further tensions. As such, management education may offer fertile ground for the advancement of a paradox perspective.
As convenors of the "Embracing Paradoxes and Tensions: Implications for Research, Practice and Teaching" subtheme, Wendy Smith (U of Delaware), Valerie Michaud (UQAM) and I thus warmly invite you to consider submitting a short paper for our track. The call for papers is attached; please feel free to circulate it in your networks and to contact us for more details.
Best regards,
Luc
