In an increasingly globalized world, developing countries affect the globe in all important spheres ranging from natural environment and peace to economic growth. The developing world has its own peculiar structures and problems which are not merely economic but include the whole spectrum of political, cultural, and institutional factors that affect management and governance in these environments in unique ways. Consequently, there is an increasing need for the scientific knowledge about these peculiar environments that can help improve management and governance in developing countries.
