    Proposal deadline – Friday, January 31, 2014

As management educators we live in in a network of connections to students, knowledge communities, institutions, organizations, and society.  We create connections to help us enhance our students' development and our goal is to connect students to concepts and concepts to the practice of Management.  We connect to our students on a personal basis and by using new technologies.  How do we create these important and rich connections?  How do we connect our own contributions to the learning process to our colleagues?

We would like to create some conversations about making these connections.  For MOBTC-2014, we are seeking proposals for sessions that demonstrate how to connect students to their professions, emerging knowledge, society, and to themselves as they develop their capacities.

    Guidelines for Submissions of Proposals
Your proposal (3 pages maximum) should state 1) what you will do, 2) how you will do it, 3) equipment you will need, and 4) how much time you will need.  Alternatively, you can join a Roundtable Discussion (see below).   The conference rooms will have all the normal presentation technology plus access to full computer labs, but please tell us what you are planning to do and what you will need. Proposals on topics other than the conference theme are also welcome.

Session presentations should be a demonstration for class use rather than a description of what was done. Please plan for the active involvement of session participants.  Proposals should be original and not under concurrent consideration or scheduled for presentation elsewhere.

Guidelines for Submission for Roundtable Discussions
    - You might have some ideas about our theme but not sure if it would be a full proposal. In that case, please consider being one of our Round Table Discussion panelists.

    - The topic of the Roundtable Discussions will be "Creating Connections."  We hope to have 15-20 people commit to appearing on the program as co-presenters for two Roundtables.

If you have a suggestion for a different topic, please contact the Program Committee with your idea.  The Round Table sessions will begin with each person making a 1-minute idea statement.  The remaining time will be a facilitated discussion.

If you have questions concerning the format or development of your idea for a session, please email one of the steering committee members listed below.

Please send your completed proposals to Joan Weiner (weinerj@drexel.edu).
