The world of today faces new challenges. The need for sustainable development and responsible leadership has never been greater. The respective expectations from management education are higher than ever, while business schools also face new challenges, including those related to technology.

The 15th edition of the International Management Teachers AcademyIMTA 2014, scheduled for 8-20 June 2014 in Bled, Slovenia, welcomes faculty interested in improving their skills related to the  multiple role of faculty (teaching, research, consultancy and community service, administration and institutional development). The program covers general aspects of management education, as well as discipline-specific issues in the areas of: Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Strategic Management, Leadership and Change Management, as well as Business in Society, a new disciplinary track that was introduced in 2013 in response to numerous requests from all over the world.

IMTA was established in 2000 with the aim of creating a new generation of management educators for the new generation of business leaders. In the 14 editions so far, this highly transformative program has educated 473 management teachers from 142 business schools and universities in 38 countries worldwide. Through IMTA Alumni Association they further develop their personal, professional and institutional contacts and collaboration, while continuously enjoying post-program support from IMTA and CEEMAN.

International collaboration, collective actions and joint programs for faculty development have been strongly advocated also at the 2013 PRME Summit and 21st CEEMAN Annual Conference, the two events that were held in conjunction with each other, which in September 2013 gathered in Bled close to 300 participants from 60 countries around the globe.

We are looking forward to receiving applications from the AoM community by 16 March 2014.
