Conference Theme:
Corporations have always been concerned about risk in foreign markets, more so during periods of economic downturn. After the tragic events of September 11, risk issues have been forced higher up on corporate hierarchies and agendas and a consensus seems to be emerging that yesterday???s risk management approaches may no longer be adequate. In addition, there is a growing recognition among senior executives, consultants, and scholars that risk has both a negative and a positive role in generating and sustaining shareholder value. The conference will therefore also explore the relationship between well-managed risk and improved corporate performance.

With over 20 speakers from industry, government, consulting firms, and academia, the conference promises to offer a wonderful learning experience for participants. A key feature of the conference is that most topics are covered by both scholarly and practitioner presentations.
