You would do well to note what materials the Crosby Quality College uses.
At the minimum you should consider Phil Crosby's best primer of all time,
Quality is Free.
Also, be aware that the SEI CMM(tm) is not a quality management instrument.
There are no published and verified data showing a cause-effect relationship
between the CMM maturity level of an organization and the quality of
products produced by that organization, There is anecdotal evidence but it
can be explained as the Hawthorn Effect just as plausibly as the CMM effect.
OBTW, the original CMM was about software but a follow-on CMM concerned
people and a subsequent CMM concerned systems engineering. Recently the
CMMI (integrated) was produced and is now the official "silver bullet" for
DoD contractor selection.
