I encourage you to have them read "Leadership and Self Deception." And then for you to outline the key principles in Csikszentmihalyi's The Evolving Self. And then, Level Three Leadership by yours truly. The first outlines a way of thinking about how to see people as people rather than objects, a way of avoiding self-destructive behavior, and a way of building bridges. The second outlines what I believe to be the single most important question in life, "will you ever be anything more than a vessel transmitting the genes and memes/vabes of yesterday into tomorrow?" and the third outlines a way of focusing on conscious thought and underlying memes/vabes rather than on visible and often misleading behavior.
Best regards,
Jim

Dear Colleagues,
I am in Kenya right now working with the national staff of a large humanitarian organisation. Critical thinking will also be a key skill for them in order to make the right decision in complex conflict situation.
A reading list will be much appreciated.
Best wishes,

??: Reading on Analytic Thinking
Dear colleagues,
I'm currently developing a first-semester MBA course on different thinking
skills and looking for a core reading on "analytic thinking" that introduces
basic concepts such as hypothesis development and testing, root cause
analysis, etc. I'm hoping to find either an article (preferred) or a book
chapter that is practical and readable, yet challenging for MBA students.
Thank you in advance for any leads.
Cheers,
Ingo Holzinger
