    Hello
I've had excellent support from this group when asking for help for
students in the past, now I hope the same will happen for me. I am
preparing a paper on innovation and high technology incubators and am up to
my neck in optimistic governmental policy documents on the subject but have
found surprisingly few academic studies to support the optimism!

Anyone out there have any ideas re useful references?

    best wishes

    Lynn Martin

In response to Lynn Martin's request for references, the following
    chapter
contains information on the various ways that our federal government
behaves in an entrepreneurial manner through the development of new
    ventures:

    Goodman, J. P., Meany, J. W., & Pate, L. E. (1992). The
    government
as entrepreneur: Industrial development and the creation of new
ventures. In D. Sexton & J. Kasarda (Ed.), THE STATE OF THE ART
OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP. Boston: PWS-Kent Publishing Co.

    Hope this helps.

Regarding Lynn Martin's request: I suggest the National Business Incubation
Association. They have a publication list of studies that have been
    completed on technology incubators.
