The Second Annual Joint UK & USA Conference on Scholarship of Teaching &
Learning (SoTL) will take place at the TUC Conference Centre in Central
London on 23rd & 24th May 2002.
Participant numbers are limited to 150 places and only a handful of
places
remain.
This will be an excellent opportunity to network with individuals
researching
their discipline or multi-disciplinary practice.
There is a strong contingent of American academics reporting on projects
they
are researching and discussing issues in promoting scholarship in
teaching
and learning. These include some of the most highly rated scholars and
teachers in the States.
From Britain there are reports from FDTL projects, LTSN Subject Centres,
National Teaching Fellows, as well as institutional projects.
Workshops will be offered by Tom Angelo, Craig Nelson and Alan Jenkins.
Speakers include Barbara Cambridge (AAHE), Mary Huber (Carnegie), Cliff
Allen
(LTSN) and George Gordon Strathclyde).
