CALL - We-B Conference - PERTH - 28 and 29 November 2002
http://www.ccsr.cse.dmu.ac.uk/conferences/emails/we-b.html
The 3rd International We-B Conference will be held in Perth, Western
Australia on 28 and 29 November 2002. This conference caters for
academics and practitioners working in e-business. The theme for the
2002 conference is, "E-conomy: From Here to Where?"
* * * We invite you to take part in this event! * * *
Papers will be presented within five broad streams. If you are searching
for answers - we have the questions:
1. LEARNING. What is the role of information technology and
telecommunications (IT&T) within education? How can we, as educators,
*use* the new technologies? How can we teach *about* the new
technologies?
2. ORGANISATION. Is the monolithic organisation as dead as the dinosaur?
Will virtual organisations rule the new business ecology? Is it only
cuckoos that outsource?
3. PROCESS. What is the impact of IT&T on business processes? Must an
organisation change to suit the best technology, or should technology
adapt to existing business practice? Will the customer relationship
knowledge-base replace human relationship marketing?
4. COMMUNITY. Is the virtual community a "social" or a "marketing"
strategy? Is IT&T able to replace face-to-face conversation? Does a
successful physical community need a virtual twin?
5. SOCIETY. How can a developing country benefit from multinational
e-business? Can human society survive Big e-Brother? How much
information is required for perfect e-government?
= = > Papers should fit within one of the five conference streams;
