I get a 404 page not found message when attempting to access the site
noted below--no obvious typos I can detect. And since there is no
e-mail address for Dr. Arie Dirkzwager to contact directly, I'm sending
this to the list. Sorry 'bout that. Any help getting more info on this
    issue is appreciated

    Dear colleagues!

The public is invited to the defense by Paul Holmes of his doctoral
dissertation on the 7th of June at 16.45 hrs. at the Technical
University in Enschede, the Netherlands. Paul Holmes' thesis is on
"Multiple Evaluation versus Multiple Choice as a Testing Paradigm" in
which he showed empirically and with a scientific foundation that
Multiple Evaluation is five times as reliable as Multiple Choice. He
also shows that the error of false passes and false fails is
substantially lower with this testing paradigm. The basis of his
research is an on line testing program with on line feedback based
    upon
the elicitation of personal probabilities on all alternatives instead
    of
"pick one". The thesis can be ordered as a book from the Technical
University, Box 217, 7500AE Enschede, The Netherlands for 18 Euro.
In my opinion this work makes Multiple Choice an outdated
    method
and psychometricians should take good notice of it. More information
    is
    available on my website.
    Best greetings,

    Arie
