The University of Toronto at Mississauga, Department of Management and
the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management invite applications for a
tenure-stream position in Organizational Behaviour at the level of
Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2003. Demonstrated excellence in
research and teaching is sought. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in
Organizational Behaviour on appointment (or soon thereafter).
The appointment is at the University of Toronto at Mississauga, which
has an interdisciplinary commitment, a multicultural student body, and a
modern and spacious campus. UTM offers a broad and growing range of
undergraduate and graduate programs in management, including
undergraduate programs in Management and Commerce, and a Masters in
Management and Professional Accounting. Its management group is
developing (among other areas) a focus on the management of technology,
with undergraduate programs in Communication, Culture, and Information
Technology (allowing a specialization in Digital Enterprise Management),
and a Masters program in Biotechnology. Although not a requirement of
appointment, an interest in the organizational issues concerning
technology-focused organizations would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will teach in the undergraduate and graduate
programs both at UTM and at the Joseph L Rotman School of Management.
The appointee will be expected to develop an externally funded research
program. Additional information on the Department can be obtained
through the World Wide Web at
http://www.utm.utoronto.ca/~w3manag/ .
The University of Toronto is fully committed to academic excellence and
welcomes applications from all qualified individuals. All qualified
candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadian and permanent
residents will be given priority. The University of Toronto is strongly
committed to diversity within its community. The University especially
welcomes applications from visible minority group members, women,
Aboriginal persons, persons with disabilities, members of sexual
minority groups, and others who may contribute to the further
diversification of ideas.
The deadline for submission of applications is October 31, 2002.
Candidates should send a current Curriculum Vitae and a statement of
teaching specializations and research interests to the address below.
Applicants should also ask three referees to send letters of
recommendation under separate cover. All correspondence should be sent
