Indeed, the nature of humor requires distinguishing a particular
connection
of the familiar with the absurd that when exposed the humor disappears.
It
may take some extra creativity to produce sticky stories with humor
which
instead of being at the expense of someone (some one being hurt), exists
as
a complement of someone...
As you state "Most of the time we are content ... without making the
effort
to think, and uncritically pass ... on... that ... remark..." which
influences what others and oneself contemplates...
