The Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University is
accepting applications for a faculty position in OB/HR/OT. We are
looking primarily for assistant professor-level faculty, but will
consider other levels as well. Applicants should have strong research
training, an active research agenda, and some indication of effective
teaching skills. We will consider all areas of expertise, but it would
be a plus have interests in both HR and non-HR areas of research and/or
teaching.
Vanderbilt, a research university with 1,700 full-time faculty members
and over 10,000 students, is situated on a park-like 316-acre campus in
Nashville, Tennessee. The Owen School offers a daytime MBA with
approximately 450 full-time students, an Executive MBA with 140
students, and a Ph.D. program with specializations in organization
studies and finance. The faculty in organization studies at Owen
currently includes Dick Daft, Ray Friedman, Bruce Barry, Bart Victor,
Neta Moye, and David Owens. The Owen School occupies Management Hall, a
spacious, modern, multilevel building containing classrooms, seminar
rooms, offices, lounges, a computer lab, a high-speed wireless network,
and the Walker Management Library.
