On names and suppositions...

To be politically correct one must be careful of ones assumptions...
    confusing the gender ...
because of names is more understandable and less embarrassing
    than
confusing the gender when physically interacting with others...

I have seen it happen several occasions and lets just say that I observed
how it was infuriating to some of those involved and sort of amusing to
observe for everyone else... Some movies have even used it in a humorous
    way?

I wonder why we tend to assume to know instead of inquiring and validating
what happens to be the true facts? I guess we prefer the gamble of getting
it right instead of the certainty of exposing our 'ignorance'? Kind of
like students who instead of asking a question and exposing the level of
their knowledge remain quiet as if understanding what is stated? School
and life provide little incentives to inquire and explore the unknowns,
most fear it, avoid it or simply pretend to know it?

    Cordially,

    Esteban
