Announcing…. MED-AEDEM Award in Management Education!
This year MED Division is going to co-sponsor the second edition of
"MED-AEDEM
Award in Management Education" (€300) for the best paper presented at XVII
AEDEM National Conference to be held in Bourdeaux (Montesquieu University,
France) in June 4-6, 2003. The best paper will be selected from submissions
by
the April deadline to the AEDEM Conference and the Award winner will be
recognize at the AEDEM Closing Session in Bourdeaux. Topics of special
interest
include: innovative ways of teaching; instructional methods and higher
education; evaluating learning and teaching and, theoretical and practical
knowledge of how management education should be approached.
As you already know MED, let me briefly introduce AEDEM to you. The
association
known as The European Association of Business Management (Asociación Europea
de
Economía y Empresa -AEDEM) aims to bring together all who are interested in
the
Economic Science of Business. The domains of this association are the
development and applications of business management as a branch of
scientific
knowledge and the correct training of future professionals. In order to
transfer scientific knowledge AEDEM publish the following scientific
reviews:
The European Research in Management and Business Economics (Investigaciones
Europeas de Dirección y Economía de la Empresa), The European Review of
Management and Business Economics (Revista Europea de Dirección y Economía
de
la Empresa), "Economics and The Firm" (Economía y Empresa). The Association
also organizes two Annual Meetings to stimulate both members and non-members
to
share their ideas and projects.
The theme for the 2003 AEDEM Meeting is "Evolution, revolution, and
knowledge
in organizations". This conference offers a great opportunity for scholars
to
obtain a more comprehensive and thorough understanding of knowledge
revolution.
In line with the theme, the conference invites theory and practice
development
papers that address knowledge related issues, used in the broadest context
of
the term and their implication for the business world.
Submissions instructions for the MED-AEDEM Award in Management Education: In
you are thinking on submitting a paper (and, of course, coming to Bourdeuax)
prepare the manuscript following the submission instructions of the Academy
of
Management conferences. The title page, abstract and author(s) name(s) must
be
on a separate file so that the paper can be blind reviewed. Deadline for
sending your submissions will begin April 4 through AEDEM Home Page
(www.aedem-
virtual.com).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Papers must be written in English so no translation is
needed.
By now, AEDEM web page is only in Spanish. So if you have problems
navigating
through it, please contact me (
mttc@fcee.urv.es). I'd be glad to help you.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Bourdeaux, a really wonderful city!
Take this chance to visit with us, know others perspectives and… have a lot
of
fun (don't forget we are Latin people!)
