  • 1.  A Decision-Making Textbook

In my quest for models of strategic decision-making processes, I've come
across one in a textbook titled "The Managerial Decision-Making Process (5th
Edition)" by E. Frank Harrison (1999). Harrison is (or was) a professor at
San Francisco State. Can anyone tell me anything about the regard in which
this textbook is held? Is it widely used? Highly regarded? Etc, etc.

    Hi Fred,

Yes, it's still one of the better books on the market, in part because it's
gone through several revisions over the last 30 years since the first
edition was published. Unfortunately, some of the best books ever written
    on decision-making, such as Janis & Mann's "Decision-Making" (1977) or Jim
March's "Primer on Decision Making" (1994), are now quite dated.

    Best,

    Larry
